Membership
The Gonzales Boat Club incorporated in March 1959. Membership is open to individuals who are at least 18 years of age and have an interest in boating. memberships and interest in the Gonzales Boat Club continues to grow each year, ensuring a long and active future for the club.
Meetings are held monthly and are held at the club's property on the Diversion Canal.
Club members enjoy monthly cruises together and other events such as:
Mardi Gras Cecebration
Mini jambalaya cooking contest
Poker runs
Annual Cochon de lait
Gambling trips
Christmas celebration parties
An many other events throughout the year.
A monthly newsletter is sent to each member to help keep them informed of club activities and other boating news. E-Mails are also sent as reminders of these activities. many advertisers in our newsletter give club members discount rates.
Future plans for the club include enlarging docking facilities, additional parking areas and a boat launch for members' use.
